Apples,
Pluots and
Apricots. They are all going to have a great crop this year.
And I see lemonade in our future.

Brave Soul
This brave little Sunflower is blooming in the plowed up garden. It is so confused... it is February! We have had some beautiful warm days this month though, and this guy made the best of the warm time it had. This weekend the weather guys were talking about snow! We did get some rain but no snow... surprise, surprise! But, it is very cold, very cold for us folks here on the coast. Burrrrr.

Peaceful Place
I wish I had a chair and a book and could sit in this field by this tree all day long. Maybe some nice cold Lemon Ice Tea, too. And if a few deer wondered by, that would only make a good thing better.
The best in life is free.

Happy Valentine's Day
We went out for brunch on Valentine's Day and I ate the whole thing. AND I'm not even sorry. It was delicious. Thanks hubby. I Love you!

I Agree
I agree with this little guy... I'm tired of it. It's been going on a long time. Finish it up already!
This sign is down by the corner of Willow and Pomeroy and although I know the original meaning was that this is where the road works ends, I choose to think of it in a different way.

Day is Dying in the West
It was getting late in the day... I fed the cats, then the dog. I went to the barn to get the horse in from the pasture. On my way back to the house I saw the sky glowing as the sun set. The end of the day was beautiful.

Spring Is Around the Corner
Look what I found in the Camellia bush in the front yard. I have seen Robins, Scrub Jays and a Towhee flying around that bush. I hope there will be eggs and babies to watch!

Sneezing and Sneezing
I've never been one to have allergies and neither has hubby, but... it seems this time of year something happens. I sort of feel like I'm getting a cold but it never quite happens. Maybe, just maybe there is a reason.
The Eucalyptus trees are blooming. All these fuzzy thread like things are on the walkways and patio along with a yellow dust. The breeze blows all this stuff around.
And the trees are alive with music... the humming of bees. Someone put a bunch of bee hives not far away. The bees never bother us and stay way up high in the trees. They have their job to do.
I believe most of them are Honey Bees, but I see lots of these huge Bumble Bees too. They look so soft... like black and yellow velvet.
But anyway, maybe, just maybe, all this fuzz and pollen blowing around is getting to us. Ya think!

Raindrops On Flowers
We had a few sprinkles last night and the Camellias are soaking up the moisture. I love the flowers that are brave enough to show their faces even though it is still technically winter and most of the annuals are dead or brown. I planted some Daffodils under the willow tree just so I could see some early flowers. They have yet to show any leaves, so it will be a while for them.
So I'm thankful to the Camellias... for their bright shiny face today!
